PELBO History

PELBO was founded in the early 70s in the province of Milan, Italy by Giorgio Pellegrinelli who still runs the company, thanks to his earlier vast experience in the food and pharmaceutical industry.

The first PELBO patent, obtained in 1992, after several years of research and testing, represented a big revolution and innovation in egg processing with the invention and manufacture of the first egg breaking machine based on the concept of parallel lines with a maximum capacity of 54,000 eggs per hour compared to all of the machines at that time that had a maximum capacity of 36,000 eggs per hour.

The response of the market has led PELBO, over the years, to further research and development that translated customer requests and needs into optimal answers.

All components and machines used around the world are produced by state-of-the-art methods.

PELBO has expanded its own manufacturing range by making egg breaking machines with several capacities: from 2,000 to 180,000 eggs per hour in order to meet the needs of small to large egg processors.

The company’s production vision includes electrical systems for automatic scanning of egg yolk in the egg whites, as well as egg destacking loading machines, egg accumulators and orientors, egg washing machines, egg shell centrifuges and egg shells removal systems.

All PELBO’s machines are manufactured in compliance with all the most severe and strict International sanitary standards for the egg processing industry. All our machines are USDA approved.

Recent numerically controlled machining centres are used for our manufacturing in order to ensure the highest precision and quality combined with cost saving and shortest delivery times.

At the final stage after assembly, all functions of the machines are thoroughly tested by trial runs before shipment.


Installation and Commissioning

We have a team of experienced technicians to install and service our systems all over the world. They assemble the machines delivered to the production lines at customers’ factories.

After completing the assembly, our technicians run tests and hand over the operating system. In addition, they train the customer’s technicians and advise them on maintenance procedures.

Spare Parts

Our spare parts warehouse always contains a stock of parts subject to wear to ensure worldwide quick spare parts service.

A dedicated spare parts chapter in the technical documentation provided with our machines gives an easy overview to customers. In addition, we give our customers info sheets with the latest recommendations for suitable parts and cost-efficient alternatives or retrofit sets.
